Due to the Memorial Day holiday normal class scheduling on Monday (May 31, 2010) will be canceled. Instead, we will be having an ‘open gym’ that is open too all clients between the hours of 8-9:30 am and 11 to 1pm. All athletes and clients are welcome to attend either of these sessions. Normal workout programming and supervision will be provided. This will be a great opportunity to meet some of the other athletes and clients who train at Athletic Lab that don’t train in your normal training time slot. Have a great weekend and please stop by for these special training sessions on Monday.
You wouldn’t go to a cardiologist who was a chain smoker would you? If you’re like most people, you recognize the importance of having a service provider who walks the walk and practices what he preaches. The same is no less true in fitness training and athletic development. The passion our staff has for fitness and training is made evident by our training results. In fact, each member of our staff has several facility records at Athletic Lab to go along with there education, experience and certifications.

This Friday, the Athletic Lab staff set up an expo tent at the Carolina Railhawks game against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The Railhawks train at Athletic Lab for their speed, strength and quickness development. We had a pullup challenge at our expo which was a huge success. All comers who could meet or exceed our pullup challenge (6 for women, 12 for men) won a free Athletic Lab t-shirt…even Swoops, the Railhawks mascot got in on the action. Check us out at the next Railhawks game!
At Athletic Lab there is no weaker gender. We take pride in developing strong, confident and athletic women. Consider the following numbers:
We have 4 women who can do over 20 pullups (with 2 over 30 and a women’s record of 34)
We gave 6 women who can power clean more than their body weight (with a women’s record of 209 at a body weight of 160)
We have 5 women who deep squat more than 1.5 times their body weight (with three over double their body weight and a record of 352 lbs)
We have 2 women who can vertical jump over 28 inches
The best part is none of these women look manly or musclebound. On the contrary, they are models of fitness and athleticism. Our women lift weights and do exercises in a way that doesn’t make them bulky or masculine. They slim down where they want and build up where they want.
Ladies-
Join one of our classes today to see how you can do the same.
