Athletic Lab’s Dr. Mike Young provided the keynote presentation at the 1st ever Annual Conference for the National Association for Speed and Explosion (NASE). The organization was founded in 1986, by Dr. George B. Dintiman and Dr. Bob Ward, former strength and conditioning coach of the Dallas Cowboys. This marked the first Annual Conference for the certifying organization. Mike presented on the “Neuromechanics and Physical Capacities of Speed.” The clinic featured other noted speakers like Tudor Bompa and Carl Valle.
The NASE is the world’s leading authority on speed improvement and the only association focusing entirely on the improvement of speed in short sprints to enhance performance in baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, softball, tennis, and track. They are the only certifying agency focusing on speed development and boast almost 7,000 members.
You can hear Dr. Young and others speak in 2 weeks at the High Performance Athletic Development Clinic we’re hosting on May 28-29th. Find out more details here.
